Technology Support Specialist

Qualifications
  • Credit Union/Banking experience preferred
  • Experience with front-line customer support
  • Comfort with web-based applications
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly, outgoing personality
  • Knack for listening to and empathizing with customers
  • Ability to multi task and achieve goals
  • Must be self-motivated, take initiative and be proactive
Bonus points awarded if you have the following:
  • Experience with digital banking support
  • Experience with core data system support

Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

The successful candidate will be working with our talented software development team. There will be opportunities to learn new skills or improve existing ones. From using modern webbased technologies for the user interface to efficiently extracting data from SQL databases to communicating with thirdparty solutions using Internet protocols. Technologies used include Docker containers running on Amazon's Web Hosting environment, a variety of security protocols and processes, and PHP and Python on Linux servers. We are constantly looking for ways to incorporate new technologies into our products and solutions and want engineers who can learn complex systems and develop innovative yet easy to use solutions.

At HomeCU you will work individually or on a small team. You will work along the whole Software Development Lifecycle, creating rocksolid solutions for both small and large credit unions. You will need to collaborate with the team, yet make technical decisions individually. You will help investigate new technologies and share knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate, design, develop and test new solutions or enhance existing solutions
  • Design and develop endtoend software solutions incorporating multiple technologies
  • Debug and solve issues found internally or reported by customers
  • Investigate, learn, and share knowledge on new technologies
  • Write solid code that is used by over a million users every day
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4-5+ years of experience developing code using PHP, "C", or any related languages
  • Frontend development experience with HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL
  • A detailoriented selfstarter who is able to work with a team and drive multiple development efforts simultaneously
  • A strong customer focus and can explain technical concepts to nontechnical people
  • Loves to collaborate to design and develop complex features and implement from idea to completion
  • Experience with Git version control and Agile development environment
